About the SFNIBA

The SFNIBA is a new service offered by the Economic development department with the goal of encouraging entrepreneurship, providing promotional supports to all of our entrepreneurs, and to inspire community connectiveness.

  • A new service offered by the Economic development department that will encourage entrepreneurship within the community while advertising and promoting all our inspiring entrepreneurs.

  • The SFNIBA helps to promote our band member entrepreneurs with marketing and advertising, creating networking and sales opportunities, encouraging new business development and offering reinvestment opportunities back into the community.

  • If you are a Saugeen First Nation#29 Band Member and are operating, or thinking of starting up a new venture, please review the business license by-law. About the SFNIBA Logo

The Saugeen First Nation Independent Business Association (SFNIBA) logo was designed by Katie Wilhelm, an Indigenous Designer and Consultant from the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation at Neyaashiinigmiing.

The SFNIBA logo features a scenic depiction of the Lake Huron shores of Saugeen First Nation, showcasing the Land that the Saugeen First Nation has called home since time immemorial. A house shape from a previous logo for Saugeen First Nation inspired the logo design. The house has an open door, symbolizing a thriving Indigenous economy and that local companies are “open for business”. The use of a location pin motif symbolizes the convenience of discovering goods and services with SFNIBA.
