Buy Local Program

The SFNIBA Buy Local program helps to promote our paid SFNIBA members by offering gift cards in denominations of $20.00 and $50.00 amounts. Our buy local program is much like other buy local initiatives, which focusses on supporting local businesses and keeping spending dollars within the community.

Our buy local program is set up as a cash-only system, and gift cards can be purchased by contacting our IBA Coordinator at our Governance Building. When you receive a gift card, you can then redeem this card with any of our listed SFNIBA members on our website. Purchases over the gift card total will be the responsibility of the patron to pay for. When an SFNIBA member receives your gift card, they then return the card to our office in order to redeem the amount listed on the card. Businesses can only redeem the amount for which the gift card they are providing. Any sales below or above the gift card amount are handled by the SFNIBA member and not the buy local program or the IBA Coordinator. 

If purchasing hand-made products from listed SFNIBA members, we encourage you to contact them first in order to establish a sales order before utilizing the gift card for purchase. Although gift cards don’t expire, we recommend using a gift card within the year specified as our membership may change from year to year.
